Orioles Skipper Buck Showalter needs to shut the buck up.
The Baltimore manager has to get over his insecurity with the New York Yankees and worry about his Orioles.
“If Bud lets them get away with that, they’re under the luxury tax. If they can reset, they can spend again and I guarantee you in two years Matt Wieters is in New York.”
The Orioles skipper refused to comment on his old player A-Rod’s probable PED usage, as Buck managed him in Texas but couldn’t control his hate for the Yankees organization.
Showalter had no issue voicing his concern that the MLB Commissioner’s Office is helping the Yankees by suspending A-Rod. Essentially, it is true but I doubt Bud Selig is worried about freeing up money for the Bronx Bombers to spend.
Maybe Buck needs to look at the bigger picture, and realize he shouldn’t have brought the Orioles current catcher into it. He might as well pack his bags and drive him the Bronx.
Buck is obviously still upset with the Yankees, but it is time to watch bygones be bygones.
I understand why Showalter has a chip on his shoulder, but as WFAN ‘s Craig Carton said, “He is acting like a W.A.B.” Look that one up.
