Did ya not know where New York Yankees Robinson Cano deserves to go?
Well, it is Kansas City, Missouri as one of the 2012 AL All-Star representative.
As the reigning 2011 Home-Run Derby Champion, Cano is already going to KC, as it is tradition for the earlier year’s winner to be named the Captain of his respected division’s Derby Team the following season.
Still even though Red Sox David Ortiz, who was El Capitan in 2011, passes this torch to Cano (and technically his father, Mr. Cano who pitched to his son in all the Derby’s rounds) it is not the same as going as an AL All-Star.
Since the All-Star voting began, Rangers 2B Ian Kinsler had been on top and Cano was a close second that was until yesterday.
As finally Cano took the lead over Kinsler, but not by much as here are the most recent voting numbers from MLB.com:
Robinson Cano, Yankees: 3,559,290
Ian Kinsler, Rangers: 3,462,367
So…BASEBALL FANS if you haven’t taken the time to vote even just once (or the max of 25 per fan) please go VOTE FOR ROBBIE CANO as there is just 96,923 votes separating the two second baseman and that is not that much.
