Yankees: Joe Girardi said it perfectly

Last night’s fiasco between Red Sox starting pitcher Ryan Dempster and Yankees Alex Rodriguez is the talk of the sports world today, and rightfully so.

In case you missed Dempster beanball A-Rod, here is the video:

Clearly, Dempster took things to a new level here.

He can only blame his own location issues for not being able to hit A-Rod, who mid you stands at 6’5.

MLB commissioner Bud Selig has not handed out any suspensions in the matter, but without question Dempster will get some type of punishment for his behavior.

Understandably, pitchers intentionally hit batters all the time and do not get suspended but this particular case is different.

Dempster threw at A-Rod four times before plunking him in his ribs.

Even thought Dempster is claiming he did not purposely try to hit A-Rod, his intent was way to obvious to believe a word he says.

Yankees skipper Joe Girardi lost it on home plate umpire Brian O’Mora, and wound up getting tossed from the game in the second inning.

To say Girardi was mad would be an understatement of the century, as four hours later after his Yankees won 9-6, he was still fuming.

Girardi really put the situation in perspective, as reality is the bigger picture here about what unfolded.

Here are is a video of the skipper post-game:

Do you agree with Girardi that Dempster should be suspended?

Even his biggest haters had to feel a little bad for A-Rod, I certainly did.

I think Girardi put it perfectly, and gave Selig all he needs to carry out a suspension to Dempster but will he is the question.

I want to hear what other MLB fans are thinking so please share you opinion in the comments.

This is a great time to go and see the Yankees in the Bronx. You can go and get  buy cheap New York Yankees tickets for all remaining games.

I have never been an A-rod fan. I didn't agree with the re-signing a few years ago, and no one would be more overjoyed for Yankee-dom than I if A-rod is suspended, but nonetheless, this was not right. Dempster deserved to be gone, and this ump deserves to have his hand slapped as well.
