With the Winter Meetings wrapped up and the official welcoming of Jacoby Ellsbury to the pinstripes today, the state of the 2014 New York Yankees is rounding out.

The pitching is still uncertain, as both the starting rotation and bullpen have holes that need to be filled, while the batting order looks closer to complete.

The 2014 Yankees looks better than last season but injuries and age will be a concern all season long.

I have included A-Rod because he has not been suspended yet, and until that happens he is part of the active roster.

Batting Line-up:

1. Jacoby Ellsbury CF

  1. I bet the Italian kid Cervelli could play 3rd. He came up as a shortstop I believe.

  2. Why not include Nunez into a package deal pitching/second baseman. He is injury prone and is a liability in the field when he does play?

  3. A-Rod will not be ont he team and neither will Romine..They won't carry 3 catchers..They will go after Reynolds to play third he can also help them at first base.Nunez will also get a chance at third.Considering what is out their I like those options. We need pitching!!! We need and right and left handed set up men and one more starter. Then we can talk about contending..
