Yankees: Up next the Brew Crew

After winning the last two games against the Angels to take the series, the Yankees now stand at 18-15 on the season, as they head to Milwaukee to face the 22-13 Brewers over the weekend.

The Brewers have the best record in baseball, but are currently slumping, losing five of their last seven games without slugger Ryan Braun who is on the DL.

Here is the schedule for the three game set:

Friday, May 9 – 8:10 PM

Masahiro Tanaka vs. Yovani Gallardo

Saturday, May 10  – 7:10 PM

CC Sabathia vs. Kyle Lohse

Sunday, May 11 – 2:10 PM

TBA vs. Matt Garza

This is the first time that the Yankees are playing the Brewers in Miller Park since 2005, so you can bet it will be a full house.

Getting out of Milwaukee winning two of three would be ideal; a sweep would be perfect but unlikely.

The 2014 Yankees are still figuring out who they are this season, as one minute everything seems to be gelling, only to fall apart the next.

Maybe we will get closer to some answers this weekend.

"The Brewers have the best record in baseball" . Could you at least check the standings before you write!!!!

You are right. At least 3 NL teams have 22 wins but the Tigers have the highest % which is the only thing that matters. So I'm not sure what she means.

    • When I wrote this last Thursday….the Brewers had the best record in baseball, along with the Giants at 22-13. The Rockies were 22-15 and no AL team had 22 wins.

I really surprised at you. The best record is based on win/lost % not wins.

        May 8th

        Det 20-10 . 667
        Mil 22-13 .629
        SF 22-13 .629

Det had the best Record. I don't know HOW you can dispute that. Just admit your wrong and thank your readers.
