New York Yankees: Alex Rodriguez Seriously Are You A Moron?

New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez’s lapse in off-the-field drama didn’t last too long, as not one but two stories have emerged over the last week.

The first is innocent gossip, but the second one I promise is very disappointing.

HEARTBREAKER:

Over on one of gossip guru Perez Hilton’s websites it has been reported that A-rod and his latest celebrity blonde girlfriend, Cameron Diaz have officially parted ways.

The couple actually seemed pretty serious in the off-season, and Diaz was just as entranced as Kate Hudson by A-rod.  I am guessing if there is any truth behind this once again A-rod was the heart-breaker.

Another bites the dust, as A-rod magic spell over A-list actresses and pop-stars is somewhat of a mystery to me. I get the whole bedroom part, but the one common ground all the relationships have is that it is A-rod’s way or bust.

This hasn’t affected A-rod’s performance what so ever. Even though A-rod’s bat might not be hitting balls out of the park, he is certainly scoring runners on base and that works for me.

NOT COUSIN YURI AGAIN:

A-rod might be good with the ladies, but I am sincerely questioning his discernment here.

Remember back in 2009, when A-rod got busted for past use of PEDs?

I mean how could you forget when A-rod came forward with the ‘real story’. It introduced us to his cousin Yuri Sucart who was the bad guy that acquired and administered the steroids to A-rod from 2001-03.

As you can imagine, Cousin Yuri was not a popular guy after that. In turn, the Yankees and MLB had Cousin Yuri banned from all non-public team areas, clubhouses, team transportation etc. Basically it sent a message to stay the hell away.

So, understand why I found it so disturbing when the NY Daily News reported that Cousin Yuri was seen in the team’s hotels out west this past week, and that he has been traveling with A-rod on some road trips.

One would think that A-rod would be a little smarter than to have anyone connected to his juicing years around at all. Especially during the baseball season as anyone with a half-a-brain recognizes what kind-of distracting and unnecessary attention it would bring.

That is except for A-rod himself because if he were smart he would either have cut ties with Cousin Yuri or kept their time spent to holidays and family gatherings only.

Cousin Yuri should not even be wearing a baseball hat after his dear younger cousin threw him under the bus so easily.

Family or not this kind of crap does not, and should not be in the press at all.

I find A-rod’s judgment on this not only dumb, but also extremely ill mannered to baseball, his teammates and Yankee fans.

Trusting him again has been hard enough already, but in typical A-rod fashion he has to do the one thing that makes everyone question him again.

Honestly, A-rod needs to take his head out of his behind and get a grip on his personal life because the moment it shows on the field it will spell TROUBLE and big time!

I am keeping my fingers cross in respects to this one, but as Albert Einstein once said:

“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else.”

New York Yankees: Why Cameron Diaz Is Not Good for A-Rod or the Team

If you want to date New York Yankees star third baseman Alex Rodriguez, your resume better read: blond, Hollywood actress, small chest and athletic build.

When A-Rod started to date Kate Hudson, the rumors were hard to believe Goldie’s daughter would fancy such an insecure womanizer.

When Hudson showed up at the ballpark in A-Rod’s seats, it confirmed every Yankee fans worst nightmare. Hudson could become an off-the-field distraction for the Yankees best player and that would be seen as unacceptable.

Closing down the greatest baseball park in 2008, along with missing the playoffs was enough embarrassment in the Bronx already. Yankee fans, along with the NY media, didn’t hide their concern regarding the relationship.

That sentiment came and went pretty fast, as A-Rod became different and he started to mesh in as part of the team. Smiling and relaxed, A-Rod did his job without the stress and it was contagious in the clubhouse.

Hudson became a fixture at Yankee Stadium. She came early, stayed through the ninth inning and cheered like a baseball fan. The other Yankee wives loved her as she was photographed with CC, AJ, Damon and Jorge’s wives having a blast.

Obviously she was smitten with A-Rod, but baseball is not an easy game to sit through, day after day after day, if you don’t love the game.

Yankees Lose Because Cameron Diaz Sucks In The Sack

What is going on with Arod?

And what’s up Girardi’s behind?

Nobody really knows except Joe himself, but I do know the answer to the next question.

How embarrassing is it to lose to the worst team in baseball?

Just ask the reigning World Series Champs, who accomplished that tonight losing 5-4 to the Baltimore Orioles. It was the Orioles first win at home, and fourth of the season.

This was a poor showing all around for the Yankees, which included another crummy call by Girardi.

Could someone explain why pulling Phil Hughes in the middle of the sixth inning, with two outs?

After the win, Orioles Nolan Ryan stated, “Yea you know he was pitching great (Hughes). It was good to get him out of the game and face someone new. We took advantage of it.”

MLB: The Final Four

Unlike past October’s, for the first time in years the final four teams that remain are the top four in baseball. It will something not to miss as any one of the teams has a shot to win. There is no currently hot team making a run of it; all four are hot and loaded with talent.

Each will be fighting to win the American or the National League Championship Series, beginning later this week. The winner of each advances on to play in the World Series, getting the opportunity to possibly be the world champions.

The match-ups go as follows:

ALCS
Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim @New York Yankees

NLCS
Philadelphia Phillies @Los Angels Dodgers

Here are some things to keep in about each team:
(no specific order)

1.Los Angles Angels of Anaheim

The Angels play tough baseball. How?
In games, opponents tend to make errors against the Angels because the game pace is set to fast from the start. Angel players only committed 85 errors in the regular season, the least in the majors might give you an idea of the raw talent defensively.

Aggressive base-running is the name of the game in Anaheim. In addition add one of the most powerful line-up, who ended the season with a combined .285 which includes nine guys hitting over .300 each. Bobby Abreau has fit like a glove since joining the club this year and he is notorious at running up the pitch counts and gets walked more than any other player.

Jared Weaver and John Lackey will start the first two games in New York and the two righties will be key in the team’s October success. Lackey has the experience and Weaver has the stats to go all the way but both need to start out throwing strikes from the get-go or it could be the fall of an Angel.

2.Philadelphia Phillies

The Phillies are champions and want it to stay that way. Ibanez, Howard and Utley are three of the best lefty hitters in the game. The team needs all three to hit because it makes the rest of the line-up thrive too.


The key for the champs is pitching. Cliff Lee is ace who was picked up mid-season. I do not think this club could have made it with out Lee’s additional, CY Young arm. That is because Cole Hamels has been up and down all season. Hamel’s needs to step it up in L.A. And get back to his MVP Championship form if the team’s reign shall continue.

Even more shaky than Hamels is closer Brad Lidge. Lidge was a perfect 48 of 48 last year but he has been far from that this season. He seemed to have that nasty slider back against the Red Sox but his scary season gives him no street credit. Lidge can easily erase his messy numbers by getting back to the old school in October.

3.Los Angles Dodgers

Joe Torre is the manager of the Dodgers and he seems to have a knack for getting to the post-season.

Now Torre and his Dodgers all reside in a place called MANNYWOOD.


As a manager in MANNYWOOD, your job entails keeping Manny from being Manny. Basically, don’t show a hint of any disagreement towards Ramirez or Manny will pout in the corner. L.A. Needs big production from Ramirez who got his swagger back playing against the Cardinals.

The Dodgers have quality left-handed arms which need to offset opposing lefty bats. The team has no certified ace but starters good enough for five or six innings which works due to the depth and talent in the bullpen.

4.New York Yankees

For the Yankees just refer to the above picture. Arod hits the team plays better. It is just a fact and I hope the pressure doesn’t get to the third baseman. Whatever Kate Hudson is doing is working.

The other key performance which the team needs is from starting pitcher A.J. Burnett. He is a star when he throws like a star but Burnett needs to be the biggest star this week against the Angels. Burnett pitched well against the Twins, his first post-season game ever so that is promising. Joba can be thrown in if needed but if Burnett is game on, throwing for strikes he is one of the best in the game.

Star Light, Star Bright, Here Is My Wish For The Yankees Tonight

Can you believe the mid-point of the baseball season almost upon us made known by the upcoming All-Star break serving as the intermediate point? Well believe it because it’s here….

It is only fair that I can conclude the past of my Yankees first 82 games with the passion of a true fan but being honest where needed. Furthermore I will attempt to reason with any doubters of the future scenarios that could play out ahead in determining if the Bronx Bombers will make the post-season.

I just want to clarify that the future is not a fact yet and there are so many obstacles that are out of the Yankees range regarding other teams performances that could play major impacts all around baseball. With the many injuries that will definitely occur and some break out performances that nobody had even cared to have thought of it is impracticable to anticipate for this reason. I am talking with the Yankees team and what needs to be tried or done to make New York have the best odds of getting back in the place where the Yanks used to be a regular in.

I have written this positive aspect many times already on my blog. The team’s foremost and most crucial improvement displayed by the Yanks is they are finally working as a team. I have witnesses this in every sport that it does not matter how many Lebron James or Tom Brady’s are on a team if there is no “team” and only individuals with big egos their will be no championships. A bunch of scrappers who stand behind any guy they call a teammate no matter what or why but just for that fact alone is crucial and especially in baseball.

The days of the Yankees decade of the 90’s are years back. And regardless of the money spent on star players, this year’s NY Yankee team works together and plays together which is something money cannot buy.

Now the Yankees are cemented as being considered the second biggest threat in the American League to the Boston Red Sox. This might have something to do with it by having to be the comparison of what a championship team looks like being their biggest rivals. Hey it’s sports and regardless of pay checks or past steroid reports as huge distractions these men are athletes. Athletes who are competitive and when everyone has the same desire it becomes a goal, which entails when one guy is struggling, another mate is there to pick him up. Hey Yankees…You Can Blame It On The Rain!

I thought the motto of ‘win series’ was going pretty well but have the tides turned on the second place NY Yankees. My Yanks lost a second series in a row to the Florida Marlins, who took two of the three games over the weekend.
I live in Manhattan, where it has been raining so much I think the sun might blind me when it does come out again, I am in a down state. Everyone else here is sick of this weather as well.

So when the Yankees were in first (no I swear for about two weeks the team was ahead of Boston…LOL!) it made the rain sort of tolerable. Since the return of the last Boston massacre in B-town the rain has been non-stop.

I am not counting the fact that the Yankees have been away from the Bronx and still lost. How can I declare this rule? Only because all of us, your fans, were still soaking wet still and so doesn’t count (got that motto from friend). In my head I will take the song line from one of my favorites and “Blame It On The Rain”!!

Now I give you my personal observations of this downward coil created by my Yankees. I want the sun to shine on our marvelous city again.

What did I learn watching the Bombers against the Florida Marlins in another inter-league series?

Arod was given a TO (aka. a time-out) to rest as something is just not clicking for him right now. He has played in every game since returning from his hit surgery. I will not excuse any player (except of your last name is Jeter) for poor performance but in this situation with Arod’s case is legitimate.
