New York Yankees: Phil Hughes To Finish-Off Blue Jays To Win The Series

After losing the first game, the New York Yankees demolished the Blue Jays at home in Toronto on Tuesday night.

Marcus Thames, Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Curtis Granderson and Mark Teixeira all homered in the affair.

Wednesday night’s game determines the series; both teams want to win but are on very different paths.

Pitching Drama Of The Week AJ Burnett Vs Brett Cecil

On Thursday afternoon, the New York Yankees avoided getting swept by the Seattle Mariners.  

Yankees ace CC Sabathia lead the team in the 4-2 win over the last place team in the AL West.  

Arod sealed the deal with a two run a-bomb. It was really in the bottom of the 8th inning, not the 9th inning but who really cares. Arod doesn’t seem to think it mattered, and he was right.

Blue Jays vs. Yankees Weekend Pitching Match-ups

Over the last week, Yankees have been on cruise control in New York, winning games against two sub-pars teams, the Indians and Orioles.

Now, the Yankees head up to Toronto for their first series against the Blue Jays in 2010, at the Roger Centre.

The Blue Jays are no joke. Not only do they lead the majors with 91 homeruns, but also their young pitchers top all of baseball with 421 strikeouts with a combined 4.21 era.
