Red Sox ruin everything even Yankees rivalry

Josh Beckett – on the bump at Yankee Stadium

For over 100 years, the Red Sox and Yankees, the two most storied franchises in baseball, have shared the most heated rivalry in all of American sports.

Or I guess more correctly had, as anyone watching the Red Sox’s lackluster play this past weekend in the Bronx would have to agree that this rivalry is now lifeless.

Like any divorce both parties usually play a part but in this case the Yankees are not to blame here. The Red Sox are just not meshing because the talent is there but the attitudes clearly are not.

And whom do you think suffer from this the most?

The fans cause the players haven’t cared for a few years now.

Well, as the saying goes, there’s no use crying over spilt milk.

And since the point here is to win, Yankee fans should be happy that the Bombers took two of three from their ex’s before they hit the road.

Starting tonight the Yankees play a four-game set vs. the AL Central leading White Sox, and this is a BIG series because these Sox actually give a hoot.

Heck maybe even the White Sox would sub in till Boston gets it sh*& together; but God only knows how long that is going to take.

As a Yankee fan, hating Boston was part of the job and there was no better feeling than beating the Red Sox. Now the feeling is just utter disgust for ruining it.
