NFL Playoffs: Who Dat Seahawks? Seattle Dethrones New Orleans Saints

The first game of the NFL playoffs was a classic David vs. Goliath.

The 7-9 Seattle Seahawks were playing host to the reigning champion New Orleans Saints.

The spread on the game favored the Saints to win by 10 or 10.5 points. That was no shocker, though 10 points is a large margin.

One fact was that New Orleans was the clearly the better team, as it was their game to lose—and suffer defeat they did.

From beginning to end, the Saints missed opportunities to score points and were inefficient in tackling assignments.

Even when the Saints scored easily to start the game, the Seahawks fought right back.

Seattle never stopped putting up points the whole game, so when the Saints finally got it together it was too late to catch up to the Seahawks’ 34 points.

So, is this upset based on the underdog having more heart? Or do you consider the inconsistency displayed this NFL season becoming the norm?

The answer is not easy, because the Saints have always had heart.

What New Orleans lacked was the fight; and the Seahawks below .500 regular season record gave them no other choice but to.

Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck took control and played some darn good football.

Face it; no team was a safe gamble from week to week in 2010, so why would the playoffs be any different.

I mean, ESPN couldn’t even keep it straight. From SportsCenter to First and 10 to PTI, a new record for how many teams were called “the best in the NFL” must have been set.

Still, Seattle deserves all the credit for winning against a great Saints team.

The Seahawks will have another battle next weekend, visiting either the Chicago Bears or Atlanta Falcons.

Either way, Seattle will bring their boxing gloves because this team is not afraid.

Lynch's ridiculous run also showed the Seahawks were a team who just wanted it more. Pushing Tracy Porter to the ground and even Hasselbeck ran with him as a blocker.
. if you wanna see the run (it was insane, if you haven't seen it yet)

  5. If you are planning to kick box as well as punch the bag, you will need yet more room. As well as you moving, there need to be room for the bag to swing too and fro. Depending on where you live, you could manage without a stand.
