Football’s Wild Card Weekend is here, which is one of the most exciting times of the year for sports fans as it means the 2013 NFL Playoffs are officially about to start at 4pm EST today. See full TV schedule HERE.
So what does that mean for MLB?
Well, not much except that baseball gets kicked out of the backseat and shoved in the trunk, as football is both the prom queen and king of pro sports world.
Luckily, like most MLB fans, I am also a HUGE NFL fan even though my New York Giants season is already over, which means no chance of repeating as Champions.
This makes my predictions very unbiased, but admittedly I always root for the Baltimore Ravens in these tougher times because I am such a big fan of linebacker Ray Lewis.
I did not pick the Ravens to get past the New England Patriots because other than beating a crumbling champion Giants team two weeks ago, the Ravens have not looked great.
My surprise team is the Seattle Seahawks who I picked to win the NFC but lose in Super Bowl XLVII to the New England Patriots.
Please check out my predictions from last season, Lady Loves Pinstripes: 2012 NFL Playoff To Super Bowl Picks to compare results.
But I can promise you New York fans did not think the Giants would win the whole shebang, so fans of the 12-teams competing take note that anything can happen from here on out.
My sincerest of congratulations and good luck to all 12-teams competing in the 2013 NFL playoffs.
Now which two teams do I think will be playing in New Orleans on February 3, 2013 in Super Bowl XLVII?
Sadly, not my New York Giants that I can guarantee.
